    There is the remains of an old house in Mr. James Waldrons Land. Devlis, Ballyhaunis, and in this house there lived a very old woman that used to change herself into a hare and suck the milk of the cows in the fields near her and the people thought it very strange so they agreed to watch the cows and when they saw what it was they got their hounds ready for the next day.
