    Burn - There is a belief among the people here that a burn can be cured in the following manner. There lives in the bogs an insect called the "All Proker[?]," and if this insect is got, and rubbed on the burn, it is supposed to cure it.
    Tooth-ache - Dip rubbed on the affected tooth.
    Measles - Nettles boiled, and the juice of them drunk.
    Whooping Cough - The milk of the female ass, drunk by the person having the cough.
    Thrush - A boy whose father died before he was born blows his breath
