The old people say that the departed souls return to their old homes on that night. It is also an old custom to leave heads of cabbages at the doors of the poor people who had no cabbage.
On that night all the old men of the village gather into one house and tell stories and fairy tales. It is said that dreaded fairies wander over hills, and fields, and destroy the blackberries so that they cannot be eaten.
I heard above story from an old man called
