    If strangers come in (durni) during churning they churn for a while because people say that if they do not help with the churning they would take the butter. People do not like to give anything out of the house while churning is in progress.
    The churning is done by hand. The churn dash is moved upwards and downwards. In Winter time boiled water is poured in while churing to heat the milk and make the churning easy.
