    her husband and child were lost in the disaster.
    When she returned and saw what had occurred she gave way to despair and exclaimed "God or the Devil" come and take me away"
    The devil came, and took possession of her, and she went around a raving lunatic. Some friends brought the priest from Newmarket, and after a fierce struggle drove out the "Ould Boy", but she was never the same woman again.
