Last year St. Stephens day fell on a Sunday and not the usual large number came around which I may say was not regretted by the people.
Rows often occur on the night of that days.
- On that eve the candles are lit again. There is plenty of sweet cake for tea, but the great joy of Christmas is missing.
In some places the church bell rings out to welcome the new year.
There are some customs observed.
