  1. (continued from previous page)
    On the Rock of Peter, no pastor sweeter;
    He would risk his life for to guard his flock,
    And when some would stray he would kneel and pray
    like saint of old, he would coax them back.
    At our daily errors he assumed no terrors,
    But his saintly hand over our heads would wave,
    And give sweet advice how to conquer vice -
    Peace to the ashes in the good priest's grave.
    All faithful Christians to the priest did listen,
    And the funny things that he used to say -
    Think of Father O'Gorman, night and morning
    When on your knees for his spirit pray.
    You Kilmore people, Kilbane, Kilsiely,
    To whom the soggarth sweet blessings gave.
    When you go to Bradford, call to the Chapel,
    And say a prayer over the good priest's grave.
