    Rub the spot with cotton wool steeped in the blood spilled on St, Martin's eve.
    Spillin the Blood.
    The fowl killed in honour of St Martin must be killed on the flag of the fire. The blood is then spilled in the four corners of the house. It is next wiped up with a piece of cotton wool or tow. This is preseved during the year and is a cure for pains or birth marks
