- There is no local tradition of saints in this district. The Catholic church is called St. Marys and it is called after the Blessed Virgin.
- There was a landlord at Quirry and his name was Bulter. He was not a bad man and he carried out no evictions. He had the land on which the town was built and after that the land commission bought the land.
- The oldest graveyard in this district is Clonosey and the next is Drumalee.
