  1. My forefathers ate three meals every breakfast, dinner and supper. They worked about two hours before they got their breakfast. For their breakfast they took oat-cake and milk and for their dinner they took potatoes and for supper they took porridge and butter-milk. They used to make oat-cake and wheat-cake at that time. They fished a lot and caught many bream which they kept for the fast days during the year. They loved boxty, colcannon and potato-cake.
