A great number of people visited his house some on crutches to get healed and the village was crowded with people. Some from Virginia went there but the thing turned out to be a fake.
The owner of the house visited a priest in another Parish and the Priests Cruicfix there began to bleed.
So the Priest kept a watch on the man and he caught him painting a red liquid on the Cruicfix so that put an end to the so called miracle in Ballinamore.
