  1. There is only one forge in this part of the parish. It is owned by Hugh McCoey. We don't know whither his people were smiths for long, as he is a new comer to the parish.
    The forge is situated in a very convient place, in the center of the parish, and at a very important cross roads.
    On the forge there is a felt roof. It is built of stone, with a wide open door on it. It contains an anvil, hammers, pensers, iorn, and many other ins-truments which is necessary in the forge.
