    The village of Crossdoney is in the district of Shantally . There are about 50 people living in it ,counting men , women and children . There are two shops , one is a post -office , and the other is a grocery . The latter has recently been built . There is an old dis used quarry situated above the creamery .It is called the green Travelling folk sometimes camp on it such a gipsies and circus shows and usually a stray pony is seen grazing on it .
    A school is in Crossdoney village also .It ws built by A.Nesbitt Esq. in the year 1855 . There is a house attached to the school . The school teacher lives in it.
