  1. The fallowing story is an old belief in Cavan of how the little robin got he red breast. Once, when our Lord was running away from the jews the little robin saw a small line of blood leading to the place where Jesus ran to hide. The robin but his breast on every drop of blood and when the jews came up they lost track of Jesus.
    Another story is- When our Lord was on the cross the robin went over to the cross and tried to pull the nails out of His hands. In doing so a few drops
