   he asked his old nurse if he was baptised in the catholic church. She told him that he was, as all the children born in that house before him, had died, and someone advised his mother to get him baptised, and that he would not die. This was done without anyone but his mother knowing it. After that the man became a good catholic.

2. A Mass Rock

   In one of the pillars of Corlough chapel there is a Mass rock. A priest was hunted through Ballyconnell and Bawnboy into Corlough, they were afraid to come any farther, so they left him there.
   Then the priest hid and said Mass on a rock. That rock is built into a pillar in Corlough chapel.
   The priests said mass in the houses
