    and there is a water-horse guarding it. In another part of the same townland there is a big stone, and under it there is another crock of gold hidden. It is said that if two black horses were got without a single white hair, and the stone turned, that the crock of gold would be found under it. There were a couple of attempts made to turn the stone but they were not successful. When they had it half turned, it fell back again, and when they looked on the horses they got white hairs. When they were about to leave, a black rooster appeared and examined all around the stone, and then he let a few screeches. The men became frightened and ran away quickly.
