  2. Once upon a time a farmer sowed oats in a large fairy ring and the oats got ripe and were cut and were going to be drawn in.
    Then the farmer came out with his men to draw in the oats but as they came near the fairy ring the farmer saw all the sheaves getting thrown up in the air but could not see who threw them up in the air and when the oats hit the groud there was not a grain to be seen. The farmer blessed himself and said "I have sowed the oats on the fairy ring.
