  1. Many years ago as body snatching was common in this part of the country the people had to watch their graves.
    One night two corps snatchers drove up to the gate of Annacurra grave yard. They tied their horse to the gate, went in and opened a grave. In the meantime a relative of the deceased had been watching. When the snatchers had the grave opened they took out the corps and put it in the car. They went back to cover in the grave. While they were doing so the relative took the corps out of the car and lay down himself in its place. When the two men came back they jumped on the car one on each side, and drove off fast. While going over Annacurra bridge said one to the other "Lord, he is hot
