    Two days before this he got a new set of shoes on the ass. The boys around the locality used to play tricks on Pat, and they took the shoes off the dead ass, and every ass that passed the road afterwards Pat had to inspect their feet to see if they had the shoes of his ass. He said that he would know the shoes if they were on the top of Raw Meig mountain. His friends prophecy came true, Pat was left with nothing but the winkers.
