  1. Opposite my home there is a hill one of the largest in Co.Kildare call Caureen Hill. On it is a moat. If you go on a clear day you can see the coutry as far as the hills of Donegal.
In this hill there is a cave full of treasures hidden there long ago by a man named Spooner. The cave is called Spooner's cave. This man robbed all the gentlemen's houses, took away the valuables and concealed them in a cave, but before he got time to dispose of them his secret became known, and he had to emigrate to America in a barrel before he had time to tell anyone where he had his hiding place. No one knows for sure where the cave is.
