    The Wart Stone.
    Hidden treasure is very scarce around Leighlin, so that the district must have been a poor one in bygone days when gold and treasure was so often hidden to save it from being destroyed by the enemy.
    A hiding place of (a supposed to be) spot of gold is the Wart Stone. It is situated about one hundred yards from the Protestant Church on the left hand side of the Kilkenny road. It was some landmark or other long
