    She uses ashes on it and has some special prayers to say known only to herself.
    Cures for Whooping Cough. If affected person is passed three times under a donkey's foal, the cough is said to grow gradually better.
    Other cures for whooping cough are the milk of a donkey or milk which has been left over by a ferret after feeding.
    Old people used to sow a flower called house leek and it was used as a cure for corns.
    A nettle sting is cured by rubbing dock leaves on it.
