    Father Lynch and Father Smith. One of these priests was buried one hundred and sixty years ago, his headstone which faces the setting sun is made in horseshoe shape because the priest was killed by a kick from a horse. The other priest's name is unknown.
    Where the Catholics worshipped after their church had been burned down and the Catholics came and worshipped in it instead. This present Church is within view of the old one.
    The man road from from Dublin to Galway passed by the gates of the graveyard three centuries ago and parts of this road are still to be sen in the adjacent fields. Near this graveyard and where St Colman is supposed to have built his monastery is a rock about two foot high with the mark of where St. Colman sat and laid his hands.
