  1. A family called Kenny lived near the Moat. About two years ago John Kenny lived there. The house was different that time. It was a small one-storey thatched house when, what I'm going to tell you happened, old John Kenny's father lived there. He lived by himself at that time.
    He was asleep one night when a knock came to the window.
    "Who is there?" said he. "Open the door", said a voice. He got up and opened the door and what did he see outside but two fairy men. "Come over to the moat", said one. "We want you to fix a dispute".
    "Willingly, good people", said he, "But what is the dispute about?" Then the little man told his story.
    The Lisduff fairies had came to live in Castletown, but that night the Knocksheegowna fairies had come up claiming the moat, and wanted to put the
