  1. There are five local roads leading from the town of Cloghan to Birr, Tullamore, Belmont, Ferbane, and Banagher. There are three very old roads in this place which are used still namely, the Bottoms Road which leads from the Shannonbridge Road to the Banagher Road. The Stonestown Road which leads from the Tullamore Road to the Birr Road, and the old road which leads from the Stonestown Road to Lumcloon.
