    This school was abolished afterwards and the present school was built not far from its site in the year 1888.
    About eighty years ago there was a hedge School in James town. The teacher was a man named George Treacy. The subjects he taught were Irish English and Arithmetic. When the present school at Rath was built this school ceased to exist.
