    In the parish of Rathmore which includes Killanne there is a townland called Grange.

    William Rigley a descendant on his mother's side from Stone. Rigley died in 1931. Several old people in the district believe that Rigley could cure cancer (external) and many stories are told of the efficacy of the cure. He was very popular amongst all creeds and classes. People suffering from cancer came from Cork, Dublin, Waterford and Kilkenny to be treated by him. According to the stories told, he cured several people who were supposed to be suffering from cancer.
    When Rigley died his wife is supposed to have "sold the cure" to a Mrs Deacon a relative.
