  1. Potato crop written by Lily Walsh age 14.
    Potatoes are one of the best vegetables we have in Ireland. We can use them for food in several ways, the easiest way is to boil them. You could mix flour through boiled potatoes and make potato cakes. Starch can be made from them by slicing raw ones up and steeping them in water. And flour called Farina can be made from them. Potatoes are also good for making poteen they are used in a raw state for this purpose.
