  1. General Roche is buried in Saunderscourt, in the parish of Castlebridge. General Fitzgerald is believed to have been buried somewhere near Hamburg. General Roche surrendered at Wexford, was court martialled and condemned to transportation. He was sent to New Geneva, but before the vessel sailed he died suddently. It is believed he was poisoned.
