The annals record the death of two abbots Diarmuid in 884 and Cruinmeal in 964.
It is stated that a wooden statue of "St Iubhar" was held in veneration and preserved on the scene of his labours in 1662. Easboc Iubhair seemed to have been an ecclesiastical title - Bishop of Iubhar.St Iubhar was St. Abban's uncle and tutor.
