  1. There are fairs held in nearly every town and village in Ireland.
    There is a fair held in the village of Castlebridge every month on different days and it is held in the town of Wexford on the last Tuesday of every month.
    Buyers used to always transact business long ago in the country, at farms and especially on the corss-roads and it is done still.
    Long ago there used to be a quack doctor going around at the fairs he was called " Sequaw" he used to pretend he could cure and if a person had the toothache he would put a needle in the tooth and there would be a worm on the needle and it going in and this worm was supposed to come out of the tooth and was supposed to be the cause of the toothache.
