Long ago there were fourpenny bits and tenpenny bits and now they are not in circulation at all, neither are the four shilling pieces or crowns and very seldom now are sovereigns or half-sovereigns to be seen. - In this district the people only go around on big days such as big days at the races, big hurling and football matches and Patterns.
When there is a Conformation coming on of course they are out at it.
