  1. In the park of Murrintown seven barrels of gold are supposed to be hidden. There are also old ruins of a mill, and it is said that a girl was killed by a sailor in this mill. At a certain time each evening this girl was supposed to appear. Until this was told to a parish priest, then this place was consecrated and she was never seen again. The girl had a custom to cross the mill when going to work.
