    second mate Mr Nicholas Saunders, Faythe, Wexford, they have all passed to reap their eternal reward.
    She was the last of the famous fleet of barques, brigs, brigantines that constantly traded between here and the Black sea ports and voyages of about six months and were known the world over as the Wexford-Galatz men.
    When this trade failed for vessels of her class about 1883, she was reconstructed on the Wexford (now the Wexford Meat Factory) for carrying timber and started her first voyage in that capacity on the 1st February 1884, to North America. In this and the following voyage to the Gulf of Mexico. I sailed on her as AB.
