  1. There are different ways of playing marbles and one of them is called "Spar". Any number of players can take part in this game. A ring is marked in the ground and a starting line about two yards away from the ring is also made.
    A player is then chosen to be the starter, as follows;
    Each player throws a marble towards the ring. The owner of the marble nearest the ring starts the game. Each player lays a marble in the ring.
    The players then take turns in trying to hit a marble out of the ring
