  1. There are a great many placenames in Co Wexford and most of them are name after some industry or other that used to be carried on in that place before.
    There is a yard in King Street named the "Ropewalk" which is so called because there was a rope factory there one time.
    There is a lane in the Main Street which leads on to the Quay named Oyster Lane. One time women sold oysters down that lane so it get its name from that.
    About the centre of the town there is a wide square named the "Bullring". It was called that because it was
