    When sea-gulls are on the land.
    When the sun rises in red.
    When salt gets wet.
    When smoke goes down to the ground.
    When stars are numerous and bright.
    When the wind is in the South.
    When the cat is frisky.
    When the cat washes her face by the fire.
    When the dog is sleepy.
    When the dog eats grass.
    An over-cast sky.
    When the Tower of Hook reflects inland.
    When the Bar o' Lough can be heard plainly.
    When the sea looks muddy.
    When the crickets sing loudly.
    When the sun rises in grey and sets in red a sign of fine weather.
    When the boat (the star) tows the ship (the moon) a storm is near.
    The further away the circle from the moon the nearer the storm.
    When sheep cluster together a storm is
