  1. In years gone by there were many travellers to be seen in the country.
    An old man named McLoughlin from Tipperary used travel very much around this county. He was a tall man with a rather dark appearance, and carried a bag with five coloured patches on it. He used to visit every house in the district and sharpened razors and scissors. He was a good humoured old man and danced and sang when invited.
