    He was repairing a pair of old shoes.
    She stood in amazement and gazed on the small figure. She said, this is a Leipreachan and he surely must be sick.
    She left her donkey and stole up behind the little man, and grabbed him by the neck.
    "Come now, my good fellow, your money or your life". The little fellow got such a fright he could not move.
    She held him tightly.
    "Give me your money and I will spare your life".
    He promised to give her the money but he told her she would have to take him with her.
    She lifted the little man and placed him on the top of the basket on the donkey's back, tying him securely with a strong cord, and started on her journey.
    She was in overjoyed at the thought of having the money that she forgot all about the basket of fruit and the
