    Oh weep ye loyal brothers all

    You are now without a Hall.
    The masons and the engineer
    Have neither rule nor square
    And all the barbers razors
    Lost the edge and temper there
    And of the splendid furniture
    None can be found at all
    It all went into cinders
    From the burning of the Hall.
    Now will you swear it was malice
    That caused it to ignite
    Or the old boy you left behind you
    When going home that night
    The fire he forgot to rake
    He don't do the like at all
    And his old shins he heated up
    Before he left the Hall.
    The jack-daws since have changed their nests
    And the owl has left by night
