    rents from the people and they also had to pay tithes to him. He died at an early age from decline and Mrs Slator then became the landlord.
    He is buried in Coolarty Protestant churchyard in a [?]. On the day of his burial every tenant had to attend the funeral and they had to wear white ribbons on their arms.
    My mother told me this information and she is years.

    The Local Patron Saint

    The Saints connected with my district are St. Patrick and St. Mary. There is a chapel in Granard-kille and St. Patrick when on the moat of Granard pointed out where the church would be built. There is a statue of St. Patrick on the moate of Granard and it was erected by Canon Donoghue in the year of congress 1932.
