    St. Patrick.
    Shrove Tuesday is the last day for getting married for seven weeks.
    On Ash Wednesday the people do not eat eggs or butter and they get ashes on their foreheads. On Puss Sunday they have a puss on them because they did not get married before lent. On Good Friday people go in their bare feet and if they dont get a thorn they will not get a thorn the whole year round.
    On Easter Sunday the people get up early to see the sun dancing with joy and the people eat a lot of eggs on that day.
    On May Day people put up May bushes and tie flowers on them in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary. People wash their faces under a lone bush and they will never have a spot on their faces during the whole year. If a baby were born on Whit Sunday or Whit Monday it will kill somebody during its life time but if they are put under a sod for a few minutes they will not kill
