    butter and milk.
    When they would be churning they would put irons in the fire and shake a pinch of salt in the churn when they would be going to churn.
    On May morning long ago people believed that if they went to the well that morning their butter would not be taken from that May morning to the next and some people used to make a ring of red berries and they put it on the handle of the dash to prevent anyone from taking their butter.
    My father told me all this information and he is fifty four years old.
