To-day we need the country's pride,
Brace Reilly tel(?) me, you,
Where are you gong to pitch your camp,
What place have you in view?
The French have landed on our soil,
Humbert command has took,
We'll stand and muster well that day,
If he comes through Ballinamuck II
O'Farrell's clan has mustered, too,
With pike and skean in hand,
And all around the country they
Are waiting the command.
High Granard's moat, and Colombkille,
And Leitrim's heroes look,
Are up and ready for to guard
Theirs homes round Ballinamuck. III
The M'Loughlin's band are waiting
By yonder hill to-night,
They are bravely up and ready
