  2. There are many interesting places around this district. One of them being a castle in Mountemple called Donegan.
    This castle was owned by the Holmes.
    Once when these people were absent from the castle it was burnt to the ground and when they arrived home, their castle was in ashed.
    Many were suspected for this burning but no one was found guilty. Two brothers were hanged for it but they were innocent. They were hanged on the little hill opposite the castle.
