  2. In Multyfarnham in the month of August, twenty-five years ago there was a sports. Three men named Thomas Quinn, Patrick Dolan and Patrick Daly were there. Late in the evening, while coming home they decided to cross Lough Owel to Portloman which is on the south-west shore. On arrival at the north shore they got into a boat and after rowing for some distance, a wind arose which flew the boat to shore.
