  1. Long ago marriage was more frequent
    than nowadays.
    People thought that Tuesdays and
    Saturdays were unlucky days to get
    married.
    Long ago the bride when she was
    going to get married would go on a
    horses cart with a rug on her knees,
    but now when people are going to
    get married they drive in motor-
    cars
    Then there would be a dance held in the
    brides house, after the breakfast and dinner.
    All their neighbors and friends would
    attend the dance to wish the bride
    and bride-groom good luck.
    Money or stock usually were given
    to the bride as a dowry.
    Then when the dance would go
    to a far-away place or country to spend
    their honey-moon or holidays.
    When they are departing an old boot or
    show would be thrown after the cart
    to wish them good luck, and also
    they are presented with gifts from their
