  1. There was once a man who had a son and a daughter. The son's name was John and the girls name was Mary. The two children lived with their father and step-mother. They lived in a hut near a wood. Their father used to live by cutting timber.
    One day their father was in the wood cutting timber. When evening came they were getting ready the tea. John let a jug fall and it got broke. The stepmother tried to beat him. Mary caught the step-mother and held her back
