  1. There was a school in the townland of Wardenstown built in captain Vandeluir's haggert beside the foul shed. Master Fennian was the teacher and fifty two boys were going to it. And forty one men. They wrote on slates with slate pencils. Irish was taught. It was there sixty three years.
