  1. About 280 years ago when the Charlses lived where the Gilsons live now there was a woman living at the bottom of Gartland's garden and she was a witch.
    When Charleses used to go out to milk the cow they could not get any and they thought someone was taking the milk from them.
    One night they went out and watched and a big hare sucking one of them. They followed the hare and she led them on tot he house in the garden and there she turned into her own form. Then the men knew who was taking the milk from the cows.
